What You’ll Do As a Lead Engineer:

• Collaborate closely with a small cross-functional team to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Design, develop, and maintain backend systems, APIs, and databases using Django and other relevant technologies.
• Ensure the scalability, performance, and security of the applications by following best practices and optimizing code.
• Implement and integrate AWS services, such as EC2 and S3, to build robust and scalable infrastructure, considering the startup's resource limitations.
• Work with the team to automate deployment processes, improve infrastructure, and monitor application performance.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to continuously enhance the development process and improve product offerings.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues, identifying bottlenecks, and proposing effective solutions to ensure the smooth functioning of the applications.
• Contribute to our financial technology solutions' overall architecture, design patterns, and technical roadmap, considering the startup's growth trajectory.

You have experience in:

• Experience architecting and building complex web applications that involved 3rd party API integrations and required focus on data security and scalability.
• Strong proficiency in Django, with a track record of developing and deploying complex web applications.
• Additional experience with React is preferred.
• Familiarity with AWS services, including EC2, S3, Lambda, and RDS. Ability to leverage these services efficiently within resource constraints.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to quickly grasp complex business requirements and propose technical solutions.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a small team environment and clearly articulate ideas and solutions.
• Startup experience is a plus.

Salary: $90-180K (flexible based on experience and location)

Equity: 0.2%+ (flexible based on experience)

Vesting: 4-year vesting schedule w/1-year cliff
