The Role You'll Play

At the intersection of cutting-edge AI and real-world business solutions, you'll lead the SmartDesk engineering team in building an innovative AI-powered front desk assistant for wellness businesses. As a strategic technical leader, you'll transform emerging AI capabilities into reliable, impactful products that solve complex communication and workflow challenges.

• Empower a high-performing engineering team to deliver exceptional technical solutions and drive meaningful business impact
• Lead end-to-end team management, from recruiting top talent to mentoring and supporting career growth
• Shape the technical vision and strategy for SmartDesk, balancing rapid innovation with robust engineering principles
• Drive product development through close collaboration with product, data, and applied AI teams
• Make critical architectural decisions that balance speed, quality, and long-term system flexibility
• Contribute to engineering-wide initiatives and help evolve Playlist's technical capabilities
• Establish clear goals, prioritize resources, and guide team execution through complex, ambiguous challenges

Experience You Bring

• 3+ years of engineering management experience leading teams of 6+ members
• Proven track record of designing and scaling AI-powered SaaS products in B2B2C environments
• Strong proficiency in Python, with comfort working across diverse technology stacks (React, C#)
• Deep expertise in transforming AI capabilities into production-ready, reliable systems
• Exceptional ability to communicate complex technical concepts to cross-functional stakeholders
• Demonstrated success in establishing technical vision and driving measurable outcomes
• Experience with modern AI development tools and frameworks
• Passion for building diverse, high-performing engineering teams
