About Civ Robotics

Civ Robotics is on a mission to automate repetitive tasks within the $3 trillion infrastructure construction industry. We’re dedicated to bridging the workforce gap and accelerating the development of essential infrastructure projects. At the core of our mission is our innovative technology in robotics and autonomous navigation.
With over 120 robots deployed and operating across construction sites in North America, Europe, and the Middle East, we are revolutionizing the way infrastructure is built. Our flagship product, CivDot™, automates the layout process for large-scale construction projects—making them faster, more accurate, and less reliant on skilled labor.
Much of our work powers the green energy transition, with a strong focus on supporting utility-scale solar farm construction. Our customers include some of the biggest names in construction and energy, such as Bechtel, Primoris, and Keeley Construction.
Join us and be part of a bold team driving real-world impact through robotics!

Position Overview

Are you a hands-on technician or associate engineer who enjoys building, testing, and troubleshooting real-world robotics systems? We’re looking for a Robotics Application Engineer to support our fleet of robots deployed across job sites and to help improve and test the next generation of our products.
You’ll travel across the U.S. and internationally, work closely with customers, and collaborate with our engineering and customer success teams. This is a unique opportunity to gain experience in robotics hardware, field support, and automation—all while making an impact in one of the fastest-growing sectors of the construction industry.

What You’ll Do

  • Install, test, and troubleshoot robots before they are shipped to customers
  • Provide technical support on-site and remotely—both in the U.S. and internationally
  • Train customers on how to operate and maintain the robots in the field
  • Assemble and wire electrical components, sensors, motors, and batteries
  • Help improve the robots based on customer feedback and your own insights
  • Work with our engineering and customer success teams to improve documentation and processes
  • Get hands-on with tools, testing procedures, and software to make sure everything works as it should

What We’re Looking For

  • Degree or diploma in Mechatronics, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or similar (Associate/Practical level welcome)
  • 1–2+ years of hands-on experience in robotics, field tech support, or electrical/mechanical assembly
  • Comfortable with basic electronics, soldering, wiring, and troubleshooting
  • Exposure to ROS and GitHub is a plus—but not required; we’ll teach you
  • Strong communication skills and eagerness to learn
  • Willing to travel: short domestic trips (~4 days/month) and international travel once per quarter
  • Must have a valid driver’s license

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: $70K–$95K + bonus + stock options
  • Health Benefits: Full medical, dental, and vision
  • 401K
  • Paid Time Off: Generous and flexible vacation policy
  • Growth: Hands-on learning, direct mentoring, and fast promotion potential
  • Impact: Work on real products that are transforming how construction happens
This is a hands-on, dynamic role where you will work on real-world robotics applications, solve customer challenges, and help shape the future of automation in construction.
