Position: Director of Strategic Partnerships

Reporting To: CRO

Role Overview:

As the Director of Strategic Partnerships at dataplor, you will play a crucial role in expanding our market presence and enhancing our product offerings through strategic alliances with key industry players like Carto, Snowflake, and Databricks. This role requires an experienced professional with a deep understanding of geospatial data, the Data-as-a-Service (DaaS) industry, experience in managing complex enterprise data partnerships, and a proven track record of building and scaling reseller channels.


  • Identify, develop, and manage strategic partnerships with leading companies in the geospatial and data analytics sectors.
  • Negotiate and close partnership deals that align with dataplor’s strategic objectives, focusing on creating value for both parties.
  • Build and scale reseller channels to enhance dataplor’s market penetration and revenue growth.
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to ensure partnership solutions are seamlessly integrated and deliver mutual value.
  • Deliver a comprehensive plan to deliver data samples to multiple marketplaces and distribution channels.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive partnership strategy, including target selection, engagement, and ongoing management to ensure long term success.
  • Represent dataplor at industry conferences, events, and in key meetings with partners and clients.

Qualities We Seek:

  • Extensive experience in strategic partnership roles, with a focus on geospatial data and enterprise solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex negotiations and partnerships at the executive level.
  • Strong network within the geospatial, data analytics, and enterprise software communities.
  • Deep understanding of the geospatial data landscape, including key players, technologies, and trends.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, capable of building strong relationships.
  • Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to identifying and pursuing new partnership opportunities.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with teams across the organization to achieve partnership goals.
