Position: Data Application Engineer

Reporting To: CDO

Role Overview:

The Data Application Engineer at dataplor will focus on developing applications that leverage our extensive location data. These applications include tools allowing us to effectively manage our QC, data governance, and delivery operations. This role demands a blend of application development skills and a keen understanding of data to build solutions that enhance our offerings. You'll collaborate with teams to create applications that are both powerful and user-friendly.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop applications utilizing our comprehensive location data.
• Work with Ruby on Rails and other technologies to build scalable, efficient systems.
• Ensure application performance, quality, and responsiveness.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Utilize advanced data processing techniques to enhance application capabilities.

Qualities We Seek:

• Strong experience in application development, Ruby on Rails preferred.
• Comfortable with rapid iteration. We move fast.
• Proficiency in working with large datasets and understanding of data structures (SQL skills required and comfortable working with json).
• Experience in building user-centric applications with a focus on performance.
• Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively within a team.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and innovation.
