We are seeking a dynamic, organized, and strategic individual to join our executive team as the Chief of Staff. This role requires a strong comfort level with remote work and global collaboration, as well as a passion for mathematics and data.

Role Overview:

The Chief of Staff will be a strategic partner and right-hand person to the CEO, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and driving key initiatives across the company. This senior role combines high-level administrative responsibilities with deep involvement in people operations, playing a crucial part in scaling our business and enhancing our company culture. You will act as the CEO's voice in many settings, helping to execute goals and earning the respect of executives across the company. The ideal candidate will be someone who sees obstacles as as opportunities and approaches every problem with out-of-the-box thinking. Key Responsibilities:

Executive Support:

  • Serve as a strategic advisor to the CEO, providing insights and recommendations to enhance decision-making.
  • Manage the CEO’s schedule, prioritize meetings, handle correspondence, and ensure efficient time management.
  • Prepare and review presentations, reports, and other documents for executive meetings.
  • Act as a liaison between the CEO and other executives, employees, and external stakeholders.
  • Represent the CEO in meetings, events, and communications as needed, including coordination and communication with board members.

Operational Efficiency:

  • Oversee and improve internal processes, ensuring they align with company goals and drive efficiency.
  • Track and follow up on action items from meetings, ensuring commitments are met.
  • Pre-screen meetings and manage agendas to ensure the CEO’s time is used effectively.

People Operations:

  • Develop and implement people strategies that support business objectives, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and employee development.
  • Foster a positive company culture and work environment, promoting values and initiatives that enhance employee satisfaction and retention.
  • Handle HR compliance and administrative tasks, including benefits management, labor law adherence, and legal compliance for a dynamic global workforce.
  • Work with department heads to plan headcount and budget for growth, ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic goals.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a Chief of Staff role or similar executive support position, preferably in a high-growth startup environment.
  • Strong background in people operations, with a track record of developing and implementing successful HR strategies.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization, including board communication.
  • High level of discretion and trustworthiness, able to handle sensitive and confidential information.
  • Comfortable working in a remote and global environment.
