We’re a venture-backed startup building a consumer privacy app that helps users regain control of their personal information. By simplifying and automating data removal, we’re on a mission to make digital privacy accessible for everyone. Details about our company name will be shared during the interview process.

Why Join Us?

  • Meaningful Impact: Manage our outbound communication strategy and connect with thousands of users to help protect their personal data.
  • Startup Environment: Experience the excitement of a fast-paced, high-growth venture where your ideas will have a direct, tangible impact.
  • Supportive Team Culture: Collaborate with passionate professionals who share a common goal—making digital spaces safer and more private.

About the Role

As PrivacyHawk’s Community Manager, you’ll own our voice on Reddit and Discord—fostering trust, gathering feedback, and growing an engaged base of privacy enthusiasts. You’ll moderate conversations, run events (AMAs, webinars, challenges), reply to App Store & Google Play reviews, and turn insights into action. This is a full-time, fully remote role for someone based in Mexico, Colombia, Argentina or Peru, reporting to the Marketing Director and partnering closely with our Social Media Manager.

What You'll Do

  • Engage & Moderate: Lead daily discussions on Reddit and Discord—seed conversations, enforce guidelines, remove spam/toxicity.
  • Support & Reviews: Answer questions in social media channels, and respond to app reviews in the Apple App Store & Google Play Store—acknowledging feedback and flagging issues.
  • Events & Advocacy: Host AMAs, webinars or community contests; spotlight top contributors to drive loyalty.
  • Feedback Loop: Track sentiment and trends, synthesize user feedback, and share actionable insights with Marketing, Product & Support teams.
  • Health Metrics: Monitor community KPIs (active members, engagement rates, retention), and recommend improvements.
  • Cross-Channel Sync: Coordinate with Social Media Manager to amplify community wins and align announcements.

Must Haves

  • 1–2 years in community management, moderation or similar (Discord, Reddit, forums).
  • Fluent English (written & spoken); Spanish a plus.
  • People skills: Empathy, diplomacy and clear writing to de-escalate and delight users.
  • Platform expertise: Deep familiarity with Discord roles/bots and Reddit moderation tools.
  • Self-starter: Organized multitasker who thrives in a remote, fast-paced environment.

Nice-to-Have-Skills

  • Experience with other chat platforms (Telegram, Slack, Facebook Groups).
  • Proven success running online events or webinars.
  • Basic content creation (infographics, community guides).
  • Customer support or technical troubleshooting background.
  • Startup experience and a go-getter attitude.

Compensation & Perks

  • $1,000 USD/month (paid in USD)
  • Healthcare stipend to cover insurance/medical costs
  • Unlimited PTO—take what you need, as long as goals are met
  • Generous stock options—share in our growth
  • 100% remote—work from home
  • Fast-paced startup culture—high autonomy, direct mentorship
