About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced Technical Lead Engineer (Back End) to take ownership of the architecture and design of our backend systems. You’ll be building the core services that power privacy automation at scale — from API integrations with hundreds of third parties to AI-driven automation pipelines handling sensitive data securely.

This is not just another engineering job. You’ll be leading a team, influencing product direction, and helping design the infrastructure of a category-defining privacy tech platform.

What You’ll Do

• Lead backend architecture and system design with a focus on scalability, resilience, and security.
• Build and maintain microservices and APIs in Node.js, TypeScript, and NestJS.
• Oversee integrations with third-party APIs and external services.
• Design and deploy AI-driven systems into production to power large-scale automation.
• Implement secure and high-performing data pipelines.
• Manage containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Mentor backend engineers, guiding technical growth and collaboration.
• Partner with product and frontend teams to deliver complete end-to-end solutions.

What We’re Looking For

Must-Have (8–10+ years of experience):

• Deep expertise with Node.js, TypeScript, NestJS, MongoDB, Docker, Kubernetes, REST APIs, Unit Testing (Jest), GitHub.
• Proven track record in system architecture and building scalable, distributed systems.
• Strong understanding of security best practices and data privacy principles.
• Experience leading, mentoring, and scaling backend engineering teams.
• Ability to collaborate across teams and align with business/product goals.

Preferred:

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Firebase/Firestore, Cloud Functions, Vertex AI, CI/CD pipelines.
• Background in microservices and event-driven architecture.
• Experience with performance optimization and monitoring tools.

Nice to Have:

• Hands-on experience with AI/ML deployment, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), GraphQL, WebSockets.
• Background in privacy tech or security engineering.
• Strong track record in automated testing and deployment strategies.
