Founded in 2017, we pioneered security deposit insurance, allowing renters to replace costly upfront deposits with a low-cost insurance policy while ensuring property owners are protected.

In 2024, Rhino + Jetty expanded its platform with end-to-end deposit management, streamlining how security deposits and insurance solutions are administered. Today, our comprehensive suite of products – including security deposit insurance, cash security deposit management, lease guarantees, renters insurance, and loss of employment insurance – continues to transform the renting experience, making moving easier, more affordable, and more transparent for all.

We are searching for summer interns who are available to work full or part time (20-40 hours per week), for 8-10 weeks this summer. This is a remote position, paid hourly.

As a Claims Intern at Rhino + Jetty, you’ll assume a critical role on a driven team that is transforming the insurance claims experience.

Interns in this role will:

  • Assist the claims team with providing a best-in-class claims experience through timely resolution of claim files
  • Review claim documentation and evaluate the validity of claims
  • Analyze, manage and resolve assigned claims while making coverage decisions consistent with internal best practices and insurance policy provisions
  • Interact with customers to provide assistance throughout the claims handling process
  • Document claim files accurately
  • Learn from experienced claims professionals, gaining insights into claims processes and industry best practices
  • Provide ongoing support to the Claims team as needed

  • Strong communication skills: Interns need to be able to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues
  • Attention to detail: Interns need to be able to pay close attention to detail and ensure that claims are handled accurately.
  • Problem solving skills: Interns need to be able to identify and resolve problems related to claims.

  • Ability to work independently with exceptional time management
