JOB TITLE: Senior Accountant
DEPARTMENT: Accounting
FLSA STATUS: Exempt
LOCATION: Addison, TX (hybrid)
As our ideal Senior Accountant, you are an individual that is naturally attracted to the Surf Air brand and you “get it”. You have a strong personality of your own and are committed to offering support to the company and its vision. As the Senior Accountant, you will report to the Controller in the accounting department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assists in monthly, quarterly, and annual period close process, as assigned.
- Prepares monthly, quarterly, and annual account reconciliations for balance sheet and P&L accounts, as assigned.
- Designs, implements, and maintains internal controls, reports for financial systems and interfaces.
- Assists with the preparation of monthly financial reports including P&L and balance sheet, as assigned.
- Assists with the preparation of the quarterly flux analysis for balance sheet and P&L accounts, as assigned.
- Provides information to auditors and management as needed: prepares audit schedules as necessary.
- Reviews and/or prepares financial transactions and/or general ledger journal entries and supporting documentation to ensure their accuracy and takes necessary action to correct any errors.
- Reviews, maintains, reconciles, and updates general ledger accounts as assigned.
- Identify opportunities for automation and elimination of existing manual processes.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from an accredited college or university.
- Experience: Three (3) to five (5) years of related experience, preferably with a mixture of both audit and public company accounting experience.
- Ability to work well independently as well as in a team environment.
- Ability to work efficiently and meet the deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong Excel skills.

Miscellaneous Requirements:
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. per the Immigration Act of 1968.
- Fluency in English.
- Computer, office equipment, phone skills.
